Join us at the Industrial Archaeology Conference 2019!
Saturday 26th October 2019 at Devizes Town Hall from 09:30 to 16:30.
The conference is organised by the Wiltshire Archaeological and Natural History Society and the Wiltshire Museum. Speakers include:
Michael Asbury: Pewsey Heritage Centre and the building’s former use as the
foundry of Whatley and Co.
Terry Waldron: Wishford Station – the history of a wayside station.
Vince Povey: Conversion of the former RAF Blakehill Farm base into a nature
reserve.
Bob Clarke: Gas-Bags, Kites and Dirigibles – unusual methods of flight in
the skies of Wiltshire.
Doug Roseaman: The photographs of David Pollard – all aspects of
railways, through trolleybuses to canals.
Tickets are £15.00 and include morning coffee and afternoon tea (lunch isn’t provided).
